Tokyo Cat Cemetery (UE4)

I fell in love with a cemetery that was home to a group of stray cats while on holiday in Tokyo, it was so relaxing, quiet and understated but so magical at the same time, I thought it would be a fun scene to try and recreate in a game engine.

I love Studio Ghibli films and the Ni No Kuni game series so I decided to try and make something inspired by them while trying out my own hand-painted style.

Everything in the scene is made by me from scratch. Rendered in Unreal Engine 4, created in Maya, zBrush and Photoshop. The bespoke cat fuzz material was my favourite thing to do, haha!

Thanks to everyone who helped me out by critiquing this project as I went along!
